LOSING MY HANDS

my touch  my grip  daily
ten hours at the Zenith
laptop the level nine pain

when Mumchy smacked my
clumsy hands at the piano
can not comb my hair
balance checks  text  feed
myself  drive

this stocking glove syndrome
this disease of connective tissue
holding my breath
in MRI coffins    zapped
with Frankenstein nerve tests

sudden menopause in my 30s
as she warned women who study
shrivel their wombs
