Victoria Lau

MOST WANTED V

IMAGE DESCRIPTION: The title MOST WANTED: V is centered on the page in a large bold stenciled font. The next line of text reads, in a smaller font, “for Victoria, the Villain, and Victimizer. The victim: me.” Then again in a large bold stenciled font the next line “DEAD OR ALIVE (but better dead).” On the next line in the same smaller font, “On a silver platter, we want her head.” The last line of this titular sequence blending into the poem reads, in brackets, “Insert mugshot of Victoria after the attack with patches of scaly blisters alone her bruised jawline.”

DATE OF BIRTH: Judgment Day, the earth's last day.
DESCRIPTION: Her body, a vessel molded from blood-red clay.

Her head screws off like the lid on Pandora's jar,
and bleeds COVID-19, unemployment, epilepsy, all moral vices out far.

Satan's kin wrought from hellfire in his inferno kiln.
Last seen wearing Versace glasses over her stone-cold chink eyes; dressed to kill—

Hanging from her scalp, loops of long snake-like tresses.
Her body-vessel, coated with a meandering labyrinth print tunic dress,

ornamented with the belt of Venus, a shimmering antitwilight afterglow
on the antichrist's flushed cheeks, her aphrodisiac hex, Eros' deathblow.

Hidden up her sleeves, a bracelet all-gifted with Pandora's charms,
deceit dowered to mankind, an unknowing groom lured into her arms.

Lips glazed with glitter from a siren's fishtail. Last seen
pummeled to the ground in front of a Food Baazar in Queens.

REWARD: Hope, seized from under the lids of her eyes
when we stand around the burning stake and watch as she dies.
